What is Joggle?
Joggle is an original a new word game for iOS and Android. It involves solving crossword-style clues that range from easy to difficult.
You get a clue and a six-letter word. Every clue has a six-letter answer. You solve the clue by replacing two letters in the given word. Here’s an example of a FUN (easy level) clue. This level is for beginners, so the letters you need to change are underlined:
Fun Level
The answer is COUPLE – so you tap T and are shown six options, as below:
Tap the yellow C tile and it replaces the white T tile. You then tap E and replace it with L. Simple!
Wiz Level
Once you get the hang of it, switch to WIZ – the intermediate level. The clues are still easy, but there’s no hint (underlining) – so the training wheels are off! If you do need a hint, just double-tap the screen.
Pro Level
If this is too easy for you, switch to the PRO level. This level has U.K. style cryptic clues. These are fun. Each clue has to parts: One part is the direct meaning, and the rest is wordplay. You figure out the wordplay, and use the direct meaning to validate it (Or the other way around). Example:

There’s also an even harder ZEN level, which is unlocked automatically after you have demonstrated proficiency in solving PRO level clues!
If you fail to solve a puzzle and time runs out, the ‘Explain clue’ button appears, and you can tap it to reveal the answer and parsing (Explanation of the solution).
Psst: The answer to the cryptic clue is GALLOP. Ride at full speed = Gallop, chutzpah: GALL + work: OP.

You can find all of the above in the game. Just download it and start playing. You get 60 seconds to solve each puzzle. If the clock countdown stresses you out, tap the timer and turn it off. Unlike crosswords or other word games, you can play Joggle whenever you have a minute or two — each puzzle takes only a bit of time, and solving it provides an instant dopamine boost!
